2009 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Versace

To create the new super roadster, the Maison Versace's designers joined forces with designers from the Lamborghini Design Centre (Centro Stile) and specialists working on the "ad personam" project. This Lamborghini program allows individual clients to create personalised sports cars, choosing the equipment specification, the colour of the exterior body and of the interior fittings.

Shelby Supercars Ultimate Aero Twin Turbo

On September 13th 2007, the SSC Ultimate Aero TT super sports car achieved a top speed of 411.76 km/h (255.83 miles/h) on a temporarily-closed 2 lane public highway in Washington State. Thus, the SSC Ultimate Aero becomes the fastest productio car in the world, beating the previous record-holders Bugatti Veyron and Koenigsegg. The GINA has an almost seamless outer textile skin that stretches across a movable metal substructure. The car’s front and sides, including the doors, create one single uninterrupted, seamless whole that converges to form a structural unit.

To create this flexible body, the GINA has dispensed with the usual body elements found on production vehicles such as front apron, bonnet, side panels, doors, wheel arches, roof, trunk lid and rear deck. Instead, a new structure with a minimum amount of components has taken their place.

The special fabric is supported by a metal wire structure. At specific points, the high-strength metal is enhanced by carbon struts with a higher flexibility. The design of the frame has also been optimized to support the aspects of crash-safety, stiffness and ride handling, entirely without an outer surface.

2009 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series

Mercedes Benz has unleashed the new 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series as its most powerful road car to date. This 2009 Mercedes-Benz is equipped with a more powerful and paramount 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 that delivers 661 bhp and 738 lb-ft of torque. A carbon fiber hood, fixed roof, fenders and trunk has reduced it weight by 550 pounds. It holds a larger turbochargers, a more rationalize inter-cooler and modified exhausts to boost power by 57 hp to 670 hp.

Performance design are experimental, and AMG recommend that testing has yet to be settled. Though, Mercedes-Benz claims the SL65 AMG Black Series will accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than "3.9 seconds" and attain a top speed limit of 199 miles per hour. In similarity, the standard SL65 AMG figures are 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than 4.2 seconds and a limited 155 miles per hour top speed. On the other hand, due to the lower overall weight, fuel consumption improves from 15.6 mpg to 16.3 mpg in U.S. figures.The SL65 AMG Black Series, to be priced at around $320,000, slots into the Mercedes-Benz lineup as an indirect substitute for the McLaren-built SLR coupe, which quietly discontinue production late last year upon the debut of the SLR roadster.

Celebrating their twenty five years of brilliant automotive craft, Steve Saleen, an automotive icon together with his new company SMS have produced a very creative and exceptional festive vehicle, the 2009 SMS Twenty Fifth Anniversary Mustang Concept.

"In celebration of my 25 years in the niche manufacturing business I wanted to create a personal car for myself that appropriately marks this very special Anniversary," said Steve Saleen. "The functional aesthetic innovations that we have developed are truly exceptional in every way. Though this car is not going to be for sale, it nevertheless demonstrates the technological advances present at SMS."

2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster 722 S

Mercedes Benz has unleashed one of the biggest craze this year, the all new 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster 722 S. The new Roadster 722 S is powered by a 5.5L V8 AMG engine delivering 650 horsepower and maximum torque of 604 lb-ft. The engine is associated with a five speed automatic transmission which is designed for high performance. The car accelerates from 0 up to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 335 kilometers per hour. Mercedes claims that this two-seater car's soft-top is capable of withstanding high speeds exceeding 200 miles per hour which is made of carbon fiber.
With a rigid spring and shock absorber configurations on its suspension, the SLR McLaren Roadster 722 S body is lowered by 10mm on its front and rear, making it sure that the car has a guaranteed handling stability. A 19-inch lightweight forged aluminum wheels allows a nice view of the red painted brake calipers made from a highly-resistant carbon fiber ceramic brake discs.There will only be 150 limited-edition 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR Roadster 722 S models to be sold.

2009 Ferrari California

Ferrari confirmed that the new 2009 Ferrari California is now officially sold out until 2010. Just like what the company president Luca di Montezemolo said, "In 2008 there was the success of the Scuderia. 2009 will be characterized by the California. It has been an incredible success. We have already sold all of the 2008 and 2009 production. You have to now wait until 2011 for one."

The $260,000 Ferrari California is scheduled to be produced by set of about 2,000 per year. This Ferrari is powered by a new direct-injection, 460 horsepower 4.3L V8. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 in just 4.0 seconds.

2010 Aston Martin V12 Vantage

Said to be the most driver-focused sports car ever produced by Aston Martin, The Aston Martin V12 Vantage. The V12 Vantage was first unveiled in 2007 and was set for debut at 2008 Geneva Motor Show. This wonderful machine is powered by 6.0 liter V12 engine which makes 510 horsepower at 6,500 RPM and 420 pound-feet of torque at 5,750 RPM. It also claims a 0-60 time of 4.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 190 MPH.The V12 Vantage's engine features an enhancement that includes a by-pass engine air intake port that opens at 5,500 RPM, an enhanced induction system and redesigned air inlet ports which improves the airflow in the combustion chamber that makes the car performance even better. Inside the V12 Vantage, the interior front structure has been thoroughly upgraded to the suspension towers to house the larger engine, twin air intake system and the brake cooling system.The Aston Martin V12 Vantage is expected to start with the deliveries during the third quarter of 2009. Pricing hasn't been announced yet and production will be limited at around 300 to 500 samples a year.

2009 Ferrari 599XX

This outstanding car has the same transaxle layout and engine type which is based on the 599 GTB Fiorano, this prototype is an ultimate track car, the 2009 Ferrari 599XX. The 599XX is powered by a 700 horsepower at around 9,000 RPM redline and a faster shifting F1 gearbox. Characterized by a an innovative concept called the "High Performance Dynamic Concept", designed for a maximum performance.

2009 Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro

The 2009 Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro is an even higher-performance version of its R8 flagship. A 518-horsepower V10 propels this beast to a top speed of 196 mph. A similar version of this engine will power Audi's new $330,000 R8 LMS racing car that's in development for GT3 events in 2009.

Mercedes-Benz USA's Sales Drop 25 Percent In March 2009

Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) has reported March sales of 15,602 vehicles, a decline of 25 percent. The volume leaders for the month were the C, E, and GLK-Class with sales of 5,008, 1,978, and 2,598 units, respectively. On a year-to-date basis, the company has sold 40,234 new vehicles, a decrease of 30.2 percent over the comparable period last year.
Separately, through the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) program, MBUSA sold 6,614 vehicles in March; a 29.4 percent increase compared to March 2008 sales of 5,110 vehicles. Year-to-date sales for the MBCPO program are 19,162, a 44.6 percent increase over 2008 year-to-date sales (13,252 vehicles) during the same timeframe.

Mercedes-Benz USA Notes 28.1 Percent Sales Decrease In April 2009

In April 2009, sales at Mercedes-Benz USA mimicked those noted by the majority of other automakers, with MBUSA noting yet another double digit decline of 28.1 percent. In total, April sales amounted to 14,565 new units, compared to 20,271 new units in April of 2008. As a result of the figures, year-to-date sales at Mercedes-Benz USA now amount to 54,799 new units (compared to 77,918 new units in April 2008), or in percentages, a 29.7 drop compared to the prior year...

Mercedes-Benz USA's Sales Drop 30.5 Percent In May 2009

The sales figures for the month of May 2009 are in, and Mercedes-Benz USA is reporting that for the month, sales dropped a total of 30.5 percent to 15,134 new units. As a result, sales at MBUSA now total 69,933 new units, down 29.9 percent when compared to 2008's five-month year-to-date total.
As for the models making headlines, all of MBUSA's model sales were in the red for the month, save for the GLK-Class, of which 2,598 were sold. Then again, the GLK wasn't on sale last year, so it's not really a fair comparison. Looking at the models that were on sale, the month's biggest loser award goes to the CL-Class, with sales of the coupe dropping 77.1 percent to just 68 units. Sales of the CLS-, R-, S-, and M-Class were all down significantly as well, with the group dropping 64.8 percent, 59.4 percent, 54.9 percent and 47.5 percent, respectively...
